Good campout at Lawhorn Scout Base

9 of our scouts had a great time down at Lawhorn Scout Base (aka Camp Thunder) this weekend.  They learned some new skills including how to be flexible when plans change.

They were going to do rappelling but the camp staff overbooked the towers and our scouts had to change plans.  So they went to the archery range and learned how to shoot bows and arrows.  The shot 14 arrows and had to get 90 points, which all of our boys.  Jay did a great job as the grubmaster this weekend - the boys especially enjoyed the cinnamon roll cake Sunday morning.  Kevin did a good job bringing a message about the prodigal son at Vespers, and everyone made it back to the scout hut on time and in good shape.  Thanks to Scoutmaster Doug Clemens, Chris Smith, and Aaron Roberts for taking the boys on this campout!
